Short answer: choose turnkey if you want your own licence and can fund regulator fees and a team. Choose white label if the provider holds the licence and the operation, and you supply the brand and the players. A revenue-share model sits on that white-label side when the provider holds the licence and operation and you keep a share of NGR (Turnkey vs white label). Casixno publishes a revenue-share price with no platform setup fee (Pricing). Casixno states that it is infrastructure and does not claim to be a licensed gambling business, that you choose your jurisdiction and compliance, and that it will not sell into markets where the law requires a licence it does not hold (Home). This page uses the glossary for the structural split. It does not treat Casixno's published price as a finding that Casixno holds a gambling licence.
What is the difference between turnkey, white label and revenue share?
| Turnkey | White label, including revenue share | |
|---|---|---|
| Licence | Your own | The provider's. Revenue share is this structure when the provider holds the licence and operation and you keep a share of NGR (Turnkey vs white label) |
| Upfront platform cost | Platform fee plus integrations | A setup fee is common on a white label. Casixno's published price has no setup fee, no monthly fee and no deposit (Pricing) |
| Who holds player money | You | Set by the contract. Casixno states that it holds the player money and pays the big wins (Pricing) |
| What you keep | Revenue after your own costs | Your contractual share of NGR. Casixno publishes 60%, 66% or 72% of monthly NGR by tier (Pricing) |
| Main job for you | Operations, compliance, payments, marketing | Brand and bringing players. That is Casixno's published split (Pricing) |
How much does a licence cost on the turnkey route?
Regulators publish fees and tax separately. Two examples:
- Malta (MGA), B2C gaming service licence fees: a one-time application fee of €5,000 and a fixed annual licence fee of €25,000 (€10,000 where the operator provides solely Type 4 gaming services), plus a compliance contribution. These are licence fees, not gaming tax (Malta Gaming Authority, Remote Gaming Services fee table, read 29 October 2026).
- Malta gaming tax, separate from those fees: from 1 October 2026, the Gaming Tax (Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (Legal Notice 84 of 2026, amending the Gaming Tax Regulations, S.L. 583.10) tax qualifying gaming revenue by game type and mode. They are not a single flat rate. For a qualifying activity offered to a player physically present in Malta, regulation 3 sets 15% of aggregate gaming revenue from Type 1 gaming services and 10% from Type 2, Type 3 or Type 4. Activity in a controlled gaming premises, or lawfully classified as a junket or junket event, is taxed at 5% of the aggregate gaming revenue from that activity. For services offered only by distance communication, taxability depends on whether the player is established in Malta, has a permanent address there, or usually resides there, not on physical presence (Legal Notice 84 of 2026, in force 1 October 2026; Malta Gaming Authority notice, 30 September 2026).
- Curaçao (CGA), B2C licence under the LOK: LOK fees version 2.0, 15 October 2025, sets a one-time application fee of EUR 4,592, an annual licence fee of EUR 24,490 payable to the National Treasury, and an annual supervisory fee of EUR 22,960 payable to the CGA. The same document pro-rates the first annual invoice (Curaçao Gaming Authority, LOK fees v2.0, 15 October 2025, archived 28 January 2026).
These are regulator fees and the Malta tax rule above. Company set-up, legal advice, platform, game content, payments and staff are extra.
Which model is fastest to launch?
A white label is usually faster than turnkey, because the platform, games and payments already exist and the provider holds the licence (Turnkey vs white label). On Casixno the published flow is: create an owner account, set up brand, domain, game catalogue and wallet in one flow, then go live (Home). Turnkey speed depends on your licence approval, which regulators process on their own timelines. Casixno's flow is not a statement that a licence has already been granted.
Who carries the risk of big wins and payments?
- Turnkey: you hold player funds, run payments and cover big wins.
- White label: the contract sets this. In the glossary's account, the provider holds the player accounts and usually the payment contracts (Turnkey vs white label).
- Casixno: Casixno states that it handles deposits and withdrawals, holds the player money, pays the big wins and covers payment fees (Pricing).
How is the revenue share calculated on Casixno?
Casixno publishes the formula (Pricing):
- GGR = player bets − player wins
- NGR = GGR − in-platform promotions − game-provider fees
- Your share = the month's NGR × your tier's rate: 60% under $10,000, 66% from $10,000 to under $30,000, 72% from $30,000 up
Casixno's worked example: players bet $200,000 and win $180,000 (GGR $20,000); promotions $2,000 and provider fees $1,000 leave NGR $17,000; at 66% the owner keeps $11,220 (Pricing). Your own ad spend is not deducted (Pricing).
Which model should I choose?
- You already hold, or plan to fund, a licence and a team → turnkey.
- You want a provider-run set-up, including a revenue share where the provider holds the licence and operation → white label. Compare the deduction list, not just the percentage (Turnkey vs white label).
- Casixno's published price is no platform setup fee and a share of monthly NGR if you bring the players (Pricing). You still choose your jurisdiction and compliance (Home).
Does any route remove licensing duties?
No. Platform access does not replace licensing or compliance. Markets change: for example, Brazil's Provisional Measure nº 1.394 of 25 September 2026 banned fixed-odds betting, including online casino-style games and their advertising, nationwide (Diário Oficial da União, Medida Provisória nº 1.394/2026, 25 September 2026, Art. 1 §1). Check the current rules in every market you target before you launch or market there.
FAQ
- No. With turnkey you run the business under your own licence. With a white label the provider holds the licence and the operation. A revenue-share model is a white label in that structure when the provider holds the licence and you are paid a share of NGR (Turnkey vs white label).
- On Casixno there is no setup fee, monthly fee or deposit (Pricing). That is the platform's published price. Licensing, domain, design and your own marketing are separate, and Casixno states that it does not claim to be a licensed gambling business (Home).
- The MGA fee table lists a €5,000 one-time application fee and a €25,000 fixed annual licence fee, plus a compliance contribution (Malta Gaming Authority, Remote Gaming Services fee table, read 29 October 2026). Gaming tax is separate. From 1 October 2026 it follows game type and mode under Legal Notice 84 of 2026, not a flat 5% (Legal Notice 84 of 2026).
- Net gaming revenue: GGR minus in-platform promotions and game-provider fees, as Casixno defines it (Pricing). Other providers may define it differently.
- No. Casixno states that it will not sell into markets where the law requires a licence it does not hold, and that you choose your jurisdiction and compliance (Home).
